Thanks for dropping by. This site is going to be about hill walking. Please visit again some time in the future when I’ve had some time to get some content up.
I’ve been a hill walker for nearly 40 years and in that time have taken a keen interest in the best way of doing it. I’m hoping that some of my experience might be useful for those who are starting out and maybe the experienced walkers amongst us who maybe can gain something from the many mistakes I have made in the past.
I have walked up some mountains in my life and whilst I do love the scenery there is something about the lower hills that appeals to me. There is nothing that can compare to being able to cross multiple hills and enjoy changing scenery. The physical challenges of walking through a bog and then climbing a hill followed by the descent into a steep valley certainly build an appreciation of life. That feeling of getting back to the car after being pelted by the rain and blasted by the wind in wonderful and somehow makes the exertion that much sweeter.

It is the lot of the hill walker not to be understood by anyone but those who dare to do the same. So if you enjoy the hills as much as I do then I hope there will be something here for you.
Why not post your comments on what you enjoy about the hills – or if you are just starting out feel free to ask a question.
